Ever since it came into being, ParisTech has been strongly involved in projects of international scope
All member institutes of ParisTech have a long history of international cooperation and exchanges. Since the beginnings of the Erasmus programme, they found themselves involved in the same European academic networks. One of the aims of founding ParisTech was indeed to participate in these networks in a coordinated manner.
At present, ParisTech is involved in two European academic networks :
- ATHENS, a network for short exchanges of students,
- The IDEA League, a group of 5 major universities aiming at setting up international MSc programmes and setting up common research projects among its member institutions.
