- For admission into the two-year Master’s programme at Chimie ParisTech, ENSAE ParisTech, ENSTA ParisTech, Institut d’Optique Graduate School, MiINES ParisTech or Telecom ParisTech, you are required to have successfully completed at least 3 years of a Bachelor’s degree (Bakalavrat) in Science or Engineering at your home university by September 2010.

For admission into the three-year Master’s programme at Ecole Polytechnique, you are required to have successfully completed 4 to 6 semesters of a Bachelor’s degree (Bakalavrat) in Science or Engineering at your home university by January 2010.

- If you are studying at Novosibirsk you should register for application with Mrs. Michele Debrenne.

- If you are studying at Tomsk, Moscow or St. Petersburg you should register for application with the international office in your home university.

-You should have a good working knowledge of English or French. 

How to apply ?

1 - If you are a student at Novosibirsk, please contact Mrs. Michele Debrenne (International Office). Otherwise, contact the International Office of your home university which will implement the pre-selection of applicants and support the selection procedure.

2 - Submit your online application form to ParisTech: https://admissions.paristech.fr/RUS/
Students wishing to apply to Ecole Polytechnique AND other ParisTech schools MUST complete the ParisTech on-line-application AND the Ecole Polytechnique on-line application at www.polytechnique.edu

The deadline for Ecole Polytechnique is 1st October 2009. The deadline for the other ParisTech schools is 5th October 2009

List of required documents for application:

  • A passport photo
  • Transcripts of records in English
  • Copy of passport or other identification document
  • A professional project letter, which should mention the future career project after completion of your ParisTech degree

Selection procedure

If you are eligible for admission, you will be invited to sit for a written test;
- at Novosobirsk State University (NSU) on 25th October 2009 in the morning. Students from NICE and Tomsk universities will also sit the written test and take the interview at NSU
- in Moscow: date and place to be confirmed
- in St Petersburg: date and place to be confirmed
The test paper will be in English or in French.

Applicants who obtain the minimum required level on the test will have, shortly after the test, the opportunity to explain in detail their study plan in ParisTech. Depending on the results, each Graduate School will decide on the admissibility of students according to their own  admissions criteria.

For Ecole Polytechnique and MINES ParisTech, students will be asked to take an oral test (mainly in Mathematics and in Physics) in Russia or by video conference with representatives of these Graduate Schools before the end of November 2008.

Documents required for interview:

  • An original transcript of your records translated into English and certified by your University
  • Maximum 3 certificates in English of your most important Academic Honours and Awards
  • Results of French (TCF) or English (CAMBRIDGE, TOEFL, TSE, GRE) language tests
  • Original of the passport or identification document you uploaded for your application

By mid December, you will be officially informed whether you have been admitted to ParisTech and to which of its Schools. Should you not be fluent in French, you will be required to start learning French immediately.

Financial matters

ParisTech is offering Scholarships covering two years of tuitionat € 18,000 a year. Candidates admitted will have to fund their travel costs to France and their residential costs in France for the duration of their studies. These costs are in the order of € 8,000 a year. Additional Scholarships covering these costs may be offered to outstanding candidates by the French Government, or by French companies who wish to hire Russian engineers as future senior executives.
