Missions
- Encourage and organize joint activities for training, educating, researching and developing in scientific, technical, economic, professional, educational and cultural fields;
- Undertake all kinds of joint action for European and international cooperation with two or more foreign partner institutions and establishments, within the framework defined by the state;
- Offer courses culminating in national, international and university diplomas;
- Accredit courses taught by our members and bestow the corresponding university, national and international diplomas in their name and at their request;
- More generally, implement projects shared by all or some of our members in the fields that come under their mandates.
Vision
To become an international reference in higher education and research with the ambition of ranking among the world’s top twenty universities by 2020.
- Become a fully fledged university of science, technology and management and rank among the best twenty research and teaching universities in the world by 2020;
- Foster excellence in research and raise our international visibility and appeal;
- Boost the high level of our courses;
- Develop our innovation potential by strengthening our already close links with the economic world;
- Put ParisTech at the centre of the education – research – innovation “triangle of knowledge” in partnership with economic and institutional spheres and major research bodies.
The new university will comprise colleges that manage their own recruitment and resources, which will foster institutional crosscutting and give scope for taking existing action further:
- Creation of a pedagogical community;
- Institutes that cut across research topics (sustainable energy, transport and mobility, etc.);
- Joint management of certain resources;
- Recruitment of the best lecturers and/or researchers in their fields.
