> For admission into the two-year Master’s programme at AgroParisTech, Chimie ParisTech, ENSAE ParisTech, ENSTA ParisTech, ESPCI ParisTech, Institut d’Optique Graduate School, MINES ParisTech, Télécom ParisTech, you are required to have successfully completed at least 7 semesters of a Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering at your home university by September 2015.

> For admission into the Ingénieur Polytechnicien Master’s programme at École Polytechnique, you are required to have successfully completed 4 semesters of a Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering at your home university by January 2015.

> For admission into the two-year Master in Management at HEC Paris, you are required to have successfully completed your Bachelor Degree in any field at your home university by September 2015.

> You should register with the international office of your home university to participate in the programme.

> You should have a good working knowledge of English or French.

How to apply ?

1 - Contact the International Office of your home university which will implement the pre-selection of applicants and support the selection procedure.

2 - For applicants to ParisTech engineering Schools, submit your online application form to ParisTech: http://admissions.paristech.fr/CHN

List of required documents for application:

  • An identity photo
  • Transcripts of records in English
  • Copy of passport or other identification document
  • A statement of purpose outlining your intended career project after completion of term of study at ParisTech and award of qualification
  • Ranking certificate

3 - Students wishing to apply to École Polytechnique must also complete the École Polytechnique online application on

4 - Students wishing to be considered by HEC Paris must submit an online application on: http://admissions.hec.fr/en. Candidates are exempted from the joint ParisTech written test but must take either the GMAT or the GRE and submit two online recommendations.

Selection procedure

If you are eligible for admission to any school except HEC Paris, you will be asked to sit a written test in science in China in October 2014.
You may choose to take the test in English or in French.

Calendar for 2014

Written test: The written test will take place simultaneously on Saturday 18th October 2014 in Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing and Wuhan. Candidates from Zhejiang University will take the test in Shanghai. Location to be announced.

Interviews :

Beijing: 28th October

Shanghai: 29th and 30th October

Hangzhou: 31st October

Nanjing: 1st and 2nd November

Wuhan: 3rd November

Applicants who obtain the minimum required level in the test will be interviewed shortly after the test to determine their motivation and discuss their plans for study at ParisTech. The selection process will be conducted according to the working practices of each ParisTech Grande École.

Applicants for Ecole Polytechnique and MINES ParisTech will be asked to take oral examinations in Mathematics, Physics and general Science later with an examiner or by video conference.

Documents required for the interview:

  • An original transcript of your records translated in English and certified by your University
  • Maximum 3 certificates in English of your most important Academic achievements and awards
  • An official ranking certificate, translated in English, stating the total number of students in your department in the field of specialization
  • Results of French (TCF) or English (Cambridge, TOEFL, GRE, etc.) language tests (if taken)
  • Original passport or identification document you uploaded for your application.

Eligible Applicants for HEC Paris GE/MiM will be invited for an Admissions Interview on campus or by videoconferencing at the end of October.

By mid-December you will be informed of the outcome of your application and to which ParisTech Grande École you have been admitted. If you are not fluent in French, you will be required to start learning French immediately.

Costs and funding

Students admitted will benefit from a tuition waiver (up to €18,000 a year) for the duration of their studies at their host ParisTech Grande École. They will have to fund their travel costs to and from France and their living costs for the duration of their studies (approximately €8,000 a year). Additional Scholarships covering these costs may be awarded to outstanding students by the French or Chinese authorities, by industrial sponsors and by the foundations of ParisTech Grandes Écoles.
