Chimie ParisTech
Chimie ParisTech, founded in 1896 by Charles Friedel, is an emblematic chemistry establishment in France and round the world.
Partnering talented students
Chimie ParisTech educates chemical engineers to attain sound scientific knowledge, management training and knowledge of the business world.
Its graduates know how to respond to the issues, developments and needs of business innovation thanks to an education that leaves plenty of room for initiative, creativity and receptiveness to the socio-economic world.
Over a core syllabus lasting two years, students at Chimie ParisTech consolidate their scientific skills before going on to specialize in engineering or research during the third year. The project-specific teaching methods throughout the course come to a climax in the third year in the shape of a final project on research and development in the selected field (i.e. molecular chemistry, materials science and engineering, chemical industry procedures, nuclear chemistry, renewable energy or natural chemistry and aesthetics).
Inventing tomorrow’s chemistry
In association with companies or major state research bodies (e.g. CNRS, INSERM, universities), Chimie ParisTech’s research activity covers the whole chemistry spectrum.
It addresses scientific issues, ranging from fundamental research to applied and innovative research, whose economic potential is readily attainable.
The college’s demanding teaching approach to research stems from its connection to the needs and issues of the economic world.
