Programme of the Sustainable Mobility Institute
Its mission
Renault, the Fondation Renault and ParisTech set up in March 2010 the Sustainable Mobility Institute with the aim of exploring the issues involved in the future of human transport and designing innovative and ecological mobility systems, notably electric ones.
Its fields of research
- "Electric mobility system": to understand the interactions between the mass circulation of electric vehicles and countries, as well as the needs in infrastructures,
- "Business model": to specify the economic models that will guarantee the massive and sustainable development of electric transport,
- "Global vision": to study the international conditions for switching from the present system of automotive transport to electric vehicles,
- "Battery technologies": to contribute to further improving this technology which is making rapid progress.
