EELISA EELISAconnect: the impetus for new EELISA communities

EELISA launches the EELISAconnect Workshop Series.

EELISA believes that the most innovative teaching and research projects are created at the interface of different disciplines, nationalities and diverse stakeholder groups. As a European University, EELISA offers a full spectrum of European experts in different academic disciplines and therefore an outstanding environment for international and interdisciplinary collaboration.

With the EELISAconnect Workshop Series, professors, teachers and researchers have a tool for promoting new EELISA communities with stakeholders from university, industry and society and thereby further developing international teaching activities and joint research projects that create long-term impact for society.

As a first step, EELISAconnect provides fresh impetus for teaching alliances, concerning for example joint course offers, joint degree programs and extracurricular activities as well as new innovative research networks that can build on joint conferences, joint research projects and joint publishing.

Format of the workshops

The first wave of EELISAconnect workshops focuses on creating connections and synergies between professors and researchers through five online workshops with five higher-level topics chosen by the hosting university. Following, EELISA will conduct further collaboration events with the aim to create connections with external partners from the governmental and corporate sector.

In the near future, EELISAconnect will also offer offline events and promote physical mobility of students, researchers and academics. These events will be complemented with a networking and innovation platform where students, researchers and externals alike will find a place for their communities to live and foster exchange.

The first EELISAconnect workshop: Artificial Intelligence

It will be hosted by Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) and will cover the main topic of Artificial Intelligence.
