The University of Nairobi, a partner of ParisTech, is launching a summer school dedicated to " Climate Change Adaptation » from July 1 to 12, 2024. For two weeks, participants will have the opportunity to benefit from the expertise of the university's researchers, not only on climate change and its impacts in Africa, but also on the solutions that can be implemented in the region to adapt to it. It is a great opportunity to confront the realities of a new field, to develop new skills, to evolve in an international environment and to discover East Africa and the University of Nairobi.

The Institute for Climate Change and Adaptation at the Faculty of Science and Technology and the Office of University Advancement & Institutional Development of University of Nairobi  would like to welcome not only Kenyan and African students, but also non-African students at Bachelor level, i.e. engineering students completing their first year. Students from the schools involved in the tripartite partnership signed on May 11, 2023, namely ParisTech and CentraleSupélec, are particularly welcome.

The program not only includes courses and lectures on adapting to climate change, but also a visit to the United Nations (UN) site in Nairobi, which manages the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). You'll also have the opportunity to discover the National Park on the outskirts of the city and Kenyan culture. All courses are taught in English. The University of Nairobi will issue a certificate of attendance equivalent to 3 ECTS.

You'll find all the information you need (detailed program, application form, accommodation, prices...) on the University's website above.

Spend two weeks on the Chiromo campus of the University of Nairobi's Faculty of Science and Technology and come back with lots of ideas for the future!
